Sticky honey garlic wings

I started making these wings as a spur of the moment sort of thing. I wanted wings, but I also wanted some honey garlic chicken so I decided to combine the two.

These wings are incredibly easy to make. The wings are coated in a flour, corn flour and spices mix before being baked. This keeps them crunchy and juicy.

The sauce is pretty much the exact same sauce I use in my quick honey garlic chicken, minus the cornflour as it does not need extra thickening. For garnish I like to use a mixture of black and plain toasted sesame seeds. I find that the black sesame seeds add another great crunch to the final product. For the soy sauce I suggest using a salt reduced dark soy sauce such as Amoy.

Wings is something I love making and eating and the possibilities with flavours are endless. If you like these wings, you will love my sticky harissa wings and my sweet chilli mango and lime wings.

I always have these sticky honey garlic wings with some French fries or wedges, what will you be having yours with?

Notes

Please adjust cooking time to the size of your wings. Smaller wings and wingettes will take a significantly shorter time to cook.

  1. I never saw a recipe and wanted to make it IMMEDIATELY after I looked at the photo so just wanted to say 100% best first photo, you have me SOLD on this recipe.

I don’t have wings per se, but I think I can make this with chicken breast slices! Definitely saving this recipe to make soon, I think I’ll have them with maybe some rice + soy sauce with broccoli (not sure that would all mesh together but I guess when I make it I’ll know!)

    1. I think this would definitely work with chicken breast slices or even strips. It definitely would work with rice and broccoli too. Harissa goes well with so many flavours!
